On 3/30/2024 around 1807 hours, Cedar Falls Police, Cedar Falls Fire Rescue, Black Hawk County Sheriff's Office Deputies and Mercy One Ambulance Service all responded to the area of North Union Road and Skyline Drive for a single vehicle motorcycle accident. The driver was wearing a helmet and protective riding gear.

The driver of the motorcycle was determined to be in critical condition by EMS and flown by helicopter to the University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City.
