Vehicle Accident with Injuries

On 01/16/23, at approximately 11:23 a.m., The Black Hawk County Sheriff's Office, Dunkerton Police Department, Dunkerton Ambulance and Fire Department and Fairbank Ambulance responded to the 7600 block of N. Canfield for a car accident involving one vehicle. Margarita Resendiz (44) of Postville, Iowa, lost control of her vehicle and crossed the center line, and went into the ditch. Margarita hit a mile marker sign, a telephone box and a utility support cable before coming to rest. Margarita and three other passengers were taken by the Dunkerton and Fairbank Ambulance to Unity Point in Waterloo with non-life-threatening injuries. The three passengers in the vehicle with Margarita were Martha (69), Miguel (69) and David Reseniz (20), all of Postville.
